01GT Green Fan · carbon fibre composite axial fans

Cooling tower fans, re‑engineered in carbon fibre.

At least 25% less energy at the same airflow. Guaranteed. We replace only the fan and hub.

02The tower

Above every cooling tower, a fan does the work.

In an induced-draft cooling tower the fan pulls all of the air up through the falling water. It is the tower's main electrical load, so every kilowatt it saves is saved for every hour it runs.

  • Field-erected towers
  • Packaged towers
  • Air-cooled condensers
  • Ventilation

03The loop blade

A loop, not a blade.

Two flat carbon fibre plates run one above the other, with an open gap between them. A flat cap closes the loop at the tip. At the root a flat end closes it, and a short round shank carries the blade into its aluminium clamp.

  • Patented in the US, EU and Türkiye
  • Carbon fibre composite
  • Adjustable pitch

04The power

Same air. At least 25% less power.

At the same airflow a GT Green Fan draws at least 25% less power than the conventional fan it replaces. That is guaranteed. Or keep the power and set the pitch for 5–20% more airflow.

Conventional fan
100 kW
GT Green Fan

05The weight

Lighter on everything it touches.

A GT Green Fan weighs less than half as much as a conventional fan. Less load on the gearbox, shaft and bearings, easier maintenance, and a simpler lift onto the tower.

  • Guaranteed 25%+ lower kW at the same airflow
  • Field results 26–39% energy saving at our reference installations
  • Or more air 5–20% more airflow at the same kW, by changing the pitch
  • Weight <½ the weight of a conventional fan
  • Diameter Ø1.65–11 m 3 to 9 blades on one aluminium hub

Energy saving per site after replacing conventional fans with GT Green Fans. Customer references from Türkiye's Top 500 companies are available for each industry.

What “guaranteed” means

01 The figure
At least 25% less power than the conventional fan it replaces, at the same airflow.
02 The baseline
Your existing fans, measured in the site assessment.
03 The scope
Only the fan and hub change. Motor, gearbox, shaft and tower stay as they are.
04 The evidence
Every result above is the energy saving at that site after replacing its conventional fans: 26% to 39%.

25% is guaranteed; the reference installations range from 26% to 39%.

Method: fans × motor power × average load × hours per year × saving. CO₂ at 0.44 kg per kWh, from the Turkish Ministry of Energy’s 2023 emission factors for electricity consumers (0.436–0.469 kg CO₂e per kWh). Example: one fan with a 110 kW motor at 80% average load draws 88 kW; over 8,000 hours a year at 25% it saves 22 kW, or 176,000 kWh a year. The 10-year chart holds the tariff flat. Fan motors only: the lower load on gearbox and bearings and the lower maintenance are not counted.

On site

From our factory to your tower.

Each fan is assembled on its own hub in Gebze, lifted onto the tower and pitched on site. Nothing else on the tower changes.

  2. Assembled GT Green Fan lifted by crane, seen from above
    02

    Lifted in

The fan goes onto the tower by crane. At under half the weight of a conventional fan, the lift is simpler.

  3. Aluminium hub on an installed fan: each blade shank held in a two-piece clamp block

Every blade shank sits in a two-piece aluminium clamp. The pitch is set on site for maximum savings or extra airflow.

Benefits

Savings that reach beyond the electricity bill.

On existing towers

  • At least 25% lower kWat the same airflow, or 5–20% more airflow at the same kW.
  • Less load on the drive trainGearboxes, shafts and bearings carry a lighter fan.
  • Easier maintenanceLower maintenance costs over the life of the fan.
  • A cooler VFDWhere the motor runs on a drive, the drive runs cooler and lasts longer.
  • A lower carbon footprintLess electricity, fewer emissions.

On new towers

  • Smaller motorsLower power demand means a lower-rated motor.
  • Thinner cables, smaller drivesLower current allows a smaller cable cross-section and a smaller VFD.
  • A more compact towerHigher airflow per fan allows a smaller tower design.
  • Easy assembly and transportUnder half the weight of a conventional fan.

GT Karbon İzleme ve Enerji Verimliliği Corp. (GT Carbon Fan) was founded in 2018 in Istanbul to produce high-efficiency axial fans. The GT Green Fan was first built in FRP, then in carbon fibre composite. Every fan is engineered by GT Carbon Fan, built on its own aluminium hub in our Gebze factory and pitched on the customer’s tower. Its founders and engineers bring 30 years of experience in industrial energy efficiency.
